United Way of Greater Mercer County To Team Up With Mercer Street Friends Food Bank to Strike Out Hunger On June 27th

On Tuesday, June 27th, YOU can help alleviate childhood hunger in Mercer County. The United Way of Greater Mercer County, partnering with Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, will bring together volunteers from the region to package meals that will be distributed to food pantries across Mercer County.
At the 3rd annual Strike Out Hunger, you will help weigh, pack, seal and box 200,000 oatmeal servings. Last year, we had 600 volunteers pack 100,000 meals and this year we plan to DOUBLE that amount.
Many families and individuals use this as a time to give back to the community while meeting new people. Businesses choose to use this event as a team building exercise for employees while doing something great for the community in which they work. To register or find out more about Strike Out Hunger, click here
