Inspired by the Quaker spirit and recognizing the inherent worth of all people, Mercer Street Friends is dedicated to the creation of a nurturing environment in which individuals may achieve independence, community and quality of life.
Service Mission - to develop and deliver services of the highest quality to meet the diverse needs of individuals and families in our community, based on our commitment to excellence which is fundamental to all services and is reflected in staff performance, program integrity and positive results.
Social Mission - to inspire through active ministry the spiritual, mental, physical and social development of persons, communities and institutions by promoting fairness, justice and peace in all of our endeavors.
Economic Mission - to operate on principles of sound business, to purposefully and methodically increase resources to fulfill our mission, to create employment and career opportunities under a system of fair compensation, and to be fully accountable to donors, funders, contractors and those we serve.
Strategic Mission - to clearly establish and maintain a reputation of excellence as the best and most comprehensive human care organization in the area by providing the very highest quality of service, especially to the underserved, through the outstanding effort and care of our team of staff, volunteers and trustees.
