2015 Trenton Pre-K Fair March 5th & 6th

The Trenton Board of Education will be hosting the 2015 Pre-K Fair Thursday, March 5th and Friday, March 6th at the Ellis Auditorium located in the Trenton Board of Education building at 108 North Clinton Avenue. Mercer Street Friends Preschool will be participating in the Pre-K Fair so that parents and guardians of eligible 3- and 4-year-olds can learn more about our Preschool program.

The hours of the Pre-K Fair are Thursday, March 5th, 10:30am-1:00pm and 2:30pm- 7:00pm; and Friday, March 6th, 9:30am-Noon and 1:30pm- 4:00pm. If you have questions about the Pre-K Fair, please contact the Trenton Office of Early Childhood at 609-656-4900 Ext. 5712.



Mercer Street Friends and Trenton Public Schools Sponsor Free Eye Exams and Prescription Glasses for Children and Adults 

On Wednesday, March 11th, from 1pm to 7pm, Mercer Street Friends and the Trenton Public Schools will sponsor the first Community School event for students and community residents. Optical Academy, a mobile vision care clinic, will perform eye exams and prescription glasses services at the Rivera Middle School, the site of the Community School. The services will be free to those with proof of medical insurance or Medicaid coverage.  For those without insurance, the cost for the exam and glasses will be as low as $59.

Princeton University President, Faculty and Staff Volunteer at Food Bank

President of Princeton University, Christopher L. Eisgruber, joined university staff and faculty recently for a visit to the Food Bank. They learned about the critical services that the Food Bank provides to those facing hunger in Mercer County and then they sorted and packed food for distribution. Princeton Area Community Foundation Donors Visit MSF Food Bank

The staff of the Princeton Area Community Foundation (PACF) recently toured the Food Bank with PACF donors who wanted a behind-the-scenes understanding of the operation and the multiple services the Food Bank provides.
