MSF Staff And Volunteers Respond To Covid-19

On Friday, March 20, 2020, Mercer Street Friends deployed teams of staff and volunteers armed with emergency weekend food bags to supply food to children enrolled in the Send Hunger Packing and their families at four different locations throughout the city of Trenton:

Kilmer School,
MLK Elementary School,
Mott Elementary School
and Trenton Central High School.

The messages from the recipients, shows how much the food means to people during the COVID-19 outbreak:

I appreciate your help in this time of need for me and my family.
I truly appreciate it. Bless you, all.

Since school is closed, it has been a blessing to have this food as I watch my grandchildren. It means so much to us all.

Being that I have a health challenge and get tired easily, it helps my children as I can receive the food since it is close by.

The food is a major help and people are shut in; it really helps.

In less than an hour and a half over 450 bags were distributed. Mercer Street Friends will continue to provide weekend family meals each Friday at the same locations during this crisis.

We could not do this without your support!
Thank you!
