Jaap is a retired corporate finance executive who specialized in the areas of financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He was first introduced to the greater Trenton area when he began a 25-year long career with Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer products) in Princeton.
Jaap joined the Mercer Street Friends Board of Trustees in 2014. He has been Finance Committee chair since September 2015. Similar past roles include being Treasurer of the Parsons Village Board of Directors in Morristown, New Jersey and being on the finance committee of the Princeton Unit of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic.
Jaap lives in Princeton with his wife Regina, and they have two children, Juliana and Conrad. Jaap enjoys being in the “great outdoors”, from taking long walks in local parks with the family’s golden retriever Rita, to discovering faraway new places.
