Karen Hoppock, MSW, LCSW is a Master’s Degree awarded social worker with a concentration in group work and is certified in implementation of the Bavolek Family Nurturing curriculum in individual, family and group settings. She is certified in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; the highest level of practice based on education and clinical hours of experience.
Karen has had a variety of work experiences in a number of settings; including mental health, substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, geriatrics, and medical social work. For 30 years, Karen has worked with at risk, overburdened families in the City of Trenton. She has persistently mentored and directed an interdisciplinary team of professionals and paraprofessionals in seeking out pregnant and parenting women; to teach, role model, and support healthy, non-violent parenting skills and positive parent-child interactions.
Currently, in her capacity as the director of Parenting and Adult Services, Karen oversees all aspects of service delivery. She assures that all programs in this domain are operating in accord with best practice standards, agency policies, and grant obligations; as well as coordinating program evaluation and budgetary management. In addition, as a member of the senior leadership team, Karen works with colleagues to ensure collaboration and communicate across programs to enhance impact and outcomes.
