We believe in the power of people investing in people. Our Family and Parent Engagement Program is critical to Mercer County families living in poverty particularly for pregnant women, single parents, parents caring for children with special needs, and those who are survivors of childhood trauma.
In the best of times, it is challenging for parents to address their own needs as well as their children’s. This challenge is amplified with the myriad of stressors that affect this vulnerable population of local families.
Our programs offer parents access to extensive resources for prenatal/post-natal care, parenting, adult education, counseling and reunification services, immigration, legal services and more.
With the goal of empowering parental competence and overall well-being, Mercer Street Friends is relentless in the pursuit of supporting the needs of the “whole person,” in utero to adulthood.
