Play Ball!
On Wednesday, July 27th, Rivera Community Elementary and Gregory Elementary students took to the stands of the Trenton Thunder Baseball daytime game. For many, this was their first time out at the ballpark and their cheers for the home team were strong and loud, especially when a foul ball was hit into their section!
Hot dogs, popcorn, and a sighting of Boomer, the Thunder Mascot, made it a day to remember!
Mercer Street Friends’ long-time partnership with Trenton Thunder extends beyond our students.
On Saturday, July 30th, our Food Bank was the recipient of non-perishable foods from Trenton Thunder’s 12th Annual Good Deed Day. Before the game, attendees dropped off a total of 181 pounds of shelf stable food that will be distributed to the community with the help our pantry partners.
Trenton Thunder’s very own Cloudman stopped by our table to say ‘hello’!
Mercer Street Friends thanks Trenton Thunder for their ongoing support of our neighbors. We love rooting for the home team!
