Ramiz Thomas
Food Bank Operations Director
Ramiz Thomas joined Mercer Street Friends in May 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience in warehouse and logistics management. Prior to joining Mercer Street Friends, Ramiz worked for Central Aluminum Supply in Trenton. Over the course of his career, he has excelled in roles spanning warehouse, shipping and receiving, fleet, and production management. Ramiz is known for a hands-on leadership style, deeply understanding the needs of every position while consistently improving efficiency, streamlining operations, and implementing solutions that elevate organizational performance.
A graduate of Trenton Central High School, Ramiz is a lifelong resident of Mercer County and is deeply invested in the community. He has long been an active participant in food bank distributions, youth mentorship, and community outreach, including serving as a mentor at the Trenton Area YMCA. He has also served on the board of the Word to the World Community Development Center. His dedication to service was profoundly influenced by, and carried out alongside, his father, the late Bishop D.C. Thomas, Sr., a respected community activist, pastor, and founder of Word Alive Center – an outreach ministry located in the heart of Trenton.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Ramiz has a deep passion for art and design. This creative background, coupled with his innovative vision, enables him to approach complex logistical challenges with unique problem-solving skill and sharp attention to detail.
