Lisa Weber
Chief of Food Security
Lisa Weber, Chief of Food Security, joined Mercer Street Friends in February 2026, bringing several years of experience in New Jersey’s food banking network and a strong background in administrative leadership, health equity, and data-driven strategy. Prior to joining Mercer Street Friends, Lisa served as Senior Director of Food Security and Health Equity at Norwescap and as Chief Administrative Officer at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
A well-respected leader among the state’s five Feeding America food banks, Lisa is known for her collaborative and results-driven approach. Most notably, she spearheaded a statewide task force to increase America’s Grow-A-Row’s fresh produce distribution in New Jersey by more than 85% to 2.6 million pounds of fresh food to help neighbors in need.
Weber began her career in the corporate sector, spending nearly 13 years at Prudential Financial, where she held several leadership roles, concluding her tenure as Vice President of Talent Acquisition Strategy and Operations. In these roles, she led talent strategy, strengthened organizational effectiveness, and advanced data-driven decision-making across the organization.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Weber has demonstrated a deep commitment to advocacy and community service, serving as both an Advocate and member of the Board of Trustees for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA), supporting children in the foster care system who have experienced neglect and hardship.
Weber holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Accounting from Rutgers University.
